You need to use TSA-approved locks [you can go to their website for deatlis]. You could also use those plastic tie-locks that can just be cut through.You need to not put anything in your checked luggage that you can\'t afford to lose, because things can and do get stolen even from carry-ons, according to a piece I saw on TV recently.
