Pad Printing on Promotional Products

Pad Printing is best suited for smaller branding areas on promotional products and the application of pad printing and the number of colours is dependent on the type of material and size available to print on. Promotional Products Pad Printing is where an inked image is transferred from a photo-etched plate to a thick, soft silicone pad. The pad is pressed against the item. If the item is made of a stretchy material accuracy after one colour cannot be guaranteed. One colour is printed at a time, but registration between colours is more accurate if the product does not stretch. Pad Printing is mostly used for printing onto corporate promotional products like tote bags, clocks, stress toys, promotional pens, and other small but sturdy promotional items. When choosing to Pad Print your promotional products keep in mind that you can only go up to 3 colours depending on your artwork. Heating tunnels can also be used to cure the print afterwards so the print dries and doesn't smudge.
